The CHARM Implementation Network (CIN) has re-convened over the last two days to discuss issues with the CHARM model and potential development activities which were originally proposed at the OSPAR OIC meeting in March 2017. Hosted by IOGP in London the meeting discussed technical issues with the hazard and risk assessment scheme that will be presented to OIC 2018.
There was extensive discussions about the impact of the disparity of REACH and OSPAR assessment factors used to calculate effects (PNEC values), as well as default release fractions for surfactants, and the calculation of batch dilution factors.
