Representatives from EOSCA are attending the OSPAR Offshore Industries Committee (OIC) this week, where there will be discussions on offshore chemicals, produced water discharges, as well as a review of the North-East Atlantic Strategy, and the new and emerging issues for OIC.

Of particular note in the offshore chemicals discussions are the issues of plastics and microplastics, removal of substances from the PLONOR List, and further modification to the HOCNF and HMCS pre-screening process.

These issues and any others that arise will be discussed at the EOSCA Members’ Meeting in Leiden on 22nd March 2018.
